Firewall
LWP's firewall is configured to:
- block any attempt to connect from know-bad networks (updated daily from blacklists published for this purpose)
- allow "ping" from inside the RUG network (excluding eduroam/wifi)
- allow SSH from the internet, but the connection rate is limited (and passwords are not excepted outside the RUG network).
- allow access to TCP and UDP ports 8800 - 8899 from inside the RUG network (excluding eduroam/wifi) to facilitate networking demo's, training, labs, experiments and the like.
